found the Tin Man's heart,

 

threw apples at those rude trees,

 

 and made melted Wicked Witches.

We opened our home to 4 newly hatched chicks this week, who will stay with us for the next few weeks. Introducing Vader, Nugget, Hallie Talula, and Toto Fluff.

They are very busy and fun to watch, and definitely have their own personalities! Grace loves to watch them and report on what they're doing. We are enjoying the extra chirps and trills in the house, but not so much the extra poop!

Owen has been asking to go visit Mount Vernon for awhile so we made a special trip to celebrate George Washington's birthday. It was 12 degrees when we arrived but we still had a great time exploring and learning about our first president.

We got more snow and ice, and even though it wasn't much, it meant another day of no school and sledding!

They are ready to do it again!
