'It'

Owen is adjusting well to his new baby sister and loves to give her lots of attention. He also likes to keep us posted with what she's doing. O's vocabularly and speech is growing, but he doesn't quite get those third person pronouns... and so we hear alot about 'It'.

"It's waking!"... "It's talking!"... "It's crying!"... "It touched me!!!"
(I will keep trying to capture this on video.)

Two weeks

Grace turned two weeks today and is doing very well! She has gained over a pound since we left the hospital and still spends most of her time sleeping. Well, with the exception of 3-5am- our little night owl's busy time! Now if only our daily 6am alarm clock had a snooze button...

Speaking of Owen, he is doing pretty well adjusting to big brotherhood- and all the extra special attention lately has definitely helped!

An extra special Thank You to Uncle Mike and Aunt Abbie who came to stay with us and help out for a few days with meals, cleaning and most importantly- Owen. While they did get some quality time with baby Grace, Owen definitely monopolized their time and attention- super fun for him and a big help for us!

Grace is 1 week old!

To celebrate her first week of life, Owen helped Aunt Abbie make a special cake.

First weekend home

This weekend we are settling in as a family of four and enjoying spending time with Baby Grace- who is doing great!

Meeting Big Brother

Due to an untimely cold and allergies, Owen was unable to come to the hospital. He finally got to meet his little sister when we brought her home on Thursday.

Little Grace made a great first impression with her big brother when she brought him a gift- a Wiggles guitar! How did she know?!

Owen is very interested in and excited about his little sister and wants to give her lots of love. He also likes to help out- especially with her pacifier!

Sweet dreams!

As we continue to rest and recover, we just wanted to send a big Thank You for all the well wishes! We are enjoying every moment with little Grace and can't wait to bring her home.

Welcome Baby Grace!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Grace Katherine Clement!!

Born April 13, 2010 at 10:06 am, she weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz, 20 inches long.

Mommy and baby are doing very well and we couldn't be more excited!

Our new little lady joins a family of loving and strong women, and we are proud to name her after two of her great grandmothers. We miss them- and our other family members who are no longer with us- but know they are happy watching their family grow!

Staying cool

The extra warm days lately have brought out some early water play. Owen's favorite- the spray bottle. He can play with it for ages! Well, until he turns the nozzle on Mommy that is.

Pure bliss

A boy... a puppy.. fresh green grass for running. It's spring time!!

Easter weekend

Happy Easter!! We enjoyed a couple days of celebration with the Smiths and Normans, filled with good times and family fun.

Owen was VERY "cited" for the Easter Bunny's visit and after his sugary breakfast, couldn't sit still for the over-crowded mass... so he ran laps around the flowerbeds.

O fine tuned his egg-hunting skills with two egg hunts- and only needed a little help along the way... and no help digging into his loot.

We enjoyed lots of good food,

played games,

tried out new toys,

and definitely had too many sweets!
